As winter gets closer and closer, my store, Mt. Everest Ski Shop, gets busier every weekend. During the months in between Summer and Winter, I've grown used to the relatively empty and slow days at work. That is why it was such an aberration when seemingly hundreds of people with their eccentric and wild kids kept coming through our doors this Saturday and Sunday to rent some skis. I barely had time to even stop to go to the bathroom! On top of our new wave of business, I had to train two new employees on Saturday. I had to do everything a little slower so that they could emulate my actions. On the upside, I sold many pairs of skis and boot to all kinds of people, some foreign and enigmatic and some gregarious and full of brio. By the time it hit five o'clock, i was completely disinterested in skis and just wanted to lay in bed.
